Welcome to The Circus of Murder— a thrilling murder mystery game where drama and deception take center stage!
The infamous circus owner, Wally Grim, known for his sharp tongue and even sharper blackmail schemes, has been found trampled to death in the elephant pen. Was it an accident, or did one of the circus misfits finally have enough of Wally’s dirty tricks? In this troupe of eccentric performers—including illusionists, clowns, animal trainers, and acrobats—everyone has a motive, and no one can be trusted.
Join us to play this interactive murder mystery game! Some players will read aloud. All lines are scripted and provided on the night of the program. No advance preparation is needed. Speaking parts will be assigned on the night of the program. If you prefer to be a non-speaking audience player, you may, but please note that 8 people are needed to voice the speaking parts for the game to work. The speaking roles are:
- Rex Sterling: the Ringmaster, a showman with a secret
- Madame Seraphina: the Fortune Teller, she sees all except her own fate
- Ivor Volkov: the Strongman, is he strong enough to kill, or just crush a peanut?
- Isabella DuPont: the French Tightrope Walker, balancing a bitter grudge
- Victoria Wildwood: the Animal Trainer, her biggest secret might just bite back
- Jasper Jenkins: the Evil Clown, king of pranks that chuckle and chill
- Lorenzo Mystico: the Magician, a master of disappearing acts
- Milly Whiskers: the Bearded Lady, keeper of secrets and stubble
Players will decipher the game clues to determine which one did in the circus owner, Wally Grim. Once everyone (including those who are not speaking) has had an opportunity to guess the culprit, the mystery's solution will be revealed.
