The Fiber Art of Diane Lee
Diane Lee is a fiber artist with over 30 years of experience who has traveled the world to teach and expand her knowledge of the arts. She received her initial BFA from Dong-A University in Korea and studied art in Busan as a junior-high art teacher. There, she learned the techniques of fiber art– batik painting on silk, shibori dyeing, weaving, fiber sculpture, and design patterns. Intrigued by American art education, she immigrated in 1985, and by
1988, she earned her BFA in Fiber Art from The School of Art Institute of Chicago. Since then, her exhibitions have been featured across Chicago and South Korea, and on 30,000 book covers by the Crain Paper Company in NY and in the Fiber Art Magazine (2008).
Browse Diane's work, shop the Art Market, and enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks. This exhibit will be on display in the Library's Crete Creative Gallery from August 22nd to October 5th, 2025.
