Edgewater Hospital, a cash-strapped hospital in Chicago, resorted to paying people to pretend they’re sick…simply to fill up the beds. This massive insurance fraud scheme resulted in hundreds of unnecessary heart surgeries and multiple deaths. Hear the extreme lengths the government went to stop the fraud and why many believe the person responsible walked away unscathed. Todd Ganz and Stephani Young produced the podcast series, "If the Walls Could Talk," about the Edgewater saga, and will share what happened, why many believe the owner got away with it, and the hospital's connection to a notorious serial killer.
